Although I spent approximately ten hours on I-85 yesterday (May 6th), it was an honor and privilege as I joined You Are The Power, Rescue The Fosters, and families torn apart by a sadistic system.

This system claims to protect children from harm.

The stories of the families being affected are heartbreaking and only motivate me to work harder on their behalf.

Standing Together for Families in Georgia.

This morning, You Are The Power’s Georgia State Organizer, Gretchen Brocard, joined our Georgia leadership team and passionate advocates from across the Southeast for a peaceful rally at the Capitol in Atlanta.

Together, they led the march from Liberty Plaza to DFCS headquarters to shine a light on a critical issue: the countless families across Georgia who are suffering due to the lack of due process in juvenile court and the systemic failures of DFCS.

Today’s march wasn’t just about raising awareness; it was a powerful stand for those families whose voices have been silenced for too long.

People traveled from as far as Virginia, North Carolina, and Wayne and Camden Counties in Georgia.
